Hello there. My name is Krisztina.

I first saw the importance and intricacies of cultures and individuals when my family and I migrated throughout Europe to the US when I was 12. This experience propelled me to study medical anthropology, and thereafter, acquire an MS in Counseling MFT and Rehabilitation.

Places of practice included community, residential and home visit settings for sectors like UCSF, Kaiser, private practice and hospitals in San Francisco and the Bay Area. I quired proficiency navigating these levels of care and can offer support on maximizing a personalized and effective mental health care experience.

Therapy is a committed practice towards wishing yourself well and showing up. I not only want to make sure you have skills to challenge habitual pathways towards a more mindful existence but know that you will be met with compassion, humor, flexibility and respect. We will work together towards what matters most to you.

My therapy focuses on approaches which are rooted in ethics and accountability forging skills that facilitate growth through curiosity within and outside oneself. I am pulled towards cultures and stories and the meaning and relevance they have on the lives of those I work with.

I rely on evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT and TIC while incorporating holistic and narrative approaches focusing on lifestyle, the evolution of language, lexicon, values, core beliefs, and ideologies, all of which can either exalt one's days or add suffering.

With a commitment towards growth, I treat a wide array of symptoms such as mood disorders, trauma, substance use, anxiety, panic, self esteem, stress response, and interpersonal challenges. Additionally, I have specialized in areas of couplers, peripartum mood management, chronic or acute illnesses, immigration, life transition, geriatrics and holistic life experience.

More About Kevin

Outside of my therapist zone I like to travel and get outside as much as possible. Be with the people I love and spend hours in the studio making beautiful, imperfect, mediocre pottery.
